As stock dwindles ahead of the all-but-certain 3G model launch, AT&T’s now going back to a policy first instituted in the early days of the iPhone’s market availability: one per customer. Both AT&T and Apple stores have instituted various iPhone buy limits ever since the June ‘07 launch, but historically, it’s been presumed to be a measure designed to clamp down on unlocked resales; nowadays, though, we have the ability to say with some confidence that it’s because they’re just aren’t many more to go around. Furthermore, AT&T is no longer accepting cash or checks for that one iPhone you’re granted to buy, so don’t go swaggering into your local store with a thick-ass roll of Lincolns, alright?

Are you stupid? Do you’ve too much money? Well then get yourself down to Meridian where you can pick up the Meridian F80, an iPod dock that has been sexified with the Ferrari logo. While I agree that fools and their money should be often and energetically parted, do you’ve to do it […]

While I agree that fools and their money should be often and energetically parted, do you have to do it so ostensibly? I don’t care if this thing makes my Fiona Apple MP3s sound amazing: why is it worth $2,995? I mean it also plays CDs and DVDs and acts as an alarm clock, but come on.

Do you own a man-stopping Taser? According to today’s New York Times magazine—where’d I put my elitist latte and copy of Harper’s Bazaar?—more and more consumers are buying Tasers, especially the recently released C2 model. Available in a variety of colors, including a leopard skin print (tacky?), the consumer-level Taser does just enough to knock out any would-be attacker named John Biggs.

Oh, and “Tupperware celebrations for the Taser” are now fashionable. That’s good, encourage violence left and right. That’s the basis of a healthy society.

That’s the gist of the article; the rest is basically, “Wow Taser, you’re so awesome. What’s it like being so awesome?”

A video doing the rounds on the interblogs is apparently showcasing not one but two new Sony Ericsson handsets. It’s unclear just exactly what models we’re seeing in the clip, nor do we know if they’re prototypes or actual production versions, though they do bear a few similarities to the forthcoming X1. One thing is for sure, Sony is definitely pushing the convergence angle on its new phones, highlighting lots of multimedia, data sharing, and a suspiciously familiar chat app. Check out another pic and the full video after the break.

[Thanks, Dion]
