With the Paris, Shiho, Alicia, BeiBei, and this F305 all seemingly scooped at this point, what else could Sony Ericsson possibly have up its sleeve for its big event next Tuesday? Odds are they don’t have much left in the tank — but with the breadth of models expected on the stage, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. What you see here isn’t an actual picture of the F305, but the concept sketch is said to represent “80%” of what the actual device will look like, a gaming-focused low to mid-end slider with an FM radio and stereo speakers. There’s more interesting hardware undoubtedly dropping on the 17th that’ll more desperately deserve our attention, sure, but as cheap sliders go, this could be a winner. See what we did there? It’s a gaming handset. You know, “winner.” Never mind.

It’s a low-quality hearing aid disguised as a Bluetooth headset. But that’s not the interesting part. It’s being marketed as being a headset that’ll improve your image! Want to look younger? Add this to the side of your head! You’ll look like a douche, sure, but a younger douche. Presto!

To any oldsters reading this: Don’t do this. Get the little in-ear hearing aids and keep your self respect.

Heads up, affluent sect. The immensely high-priced Professional 105 line is expanding, as two new members slip in to tempt your stuffed wallet. Mobiado’s Professional 105 EM is available in Cocobolo and Ebony, and the frame is even constructed from anodized aluminum; you’ll also notice sapphire crystal buttons and a black finish. As for the Professional 105 GCB, it’s layered with a 5-micron thick 24-karat gold plating and jazzed up with a fancy logo ’round back. Both candybars feature quad-band GSM support, a measly 1GB of internal storage space and a ho hum 2-megapixel camera, but fret not, as it’ll (very likely) be the most expensive lackluster cellphone you’ll ever pay for.

See that image above? Yeah, that’s a sexy new side angle of RIM’s BlackBerry Bold, and it’s coming to us courtesy of AT&T. Just as Sprint did with its fashionable Instinct, AT&T is launching a promotional site for the forthcoming BlackBerry in order to drum up interest and get you (re)informed. Straight from the carrier’s mouth, we’ve got GPRS / EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA support, integrated WiFi / GPS, 480 x 320 resolution display, a side-loaded memory slot, 1GB of built-in storage, a 624MHz CPU, 128MB of Flash memory, Bluetooth 2.0 with handsfree support and up to 5-hours of GSM speak time (13 days in standby). You’ll notice that the operator makes no mention of an exact release date, but we’re crossing our fingers and sticking to that leaked July timeframe until we hear otherwise.

[Thanks, Daryl]

There are a million storage solutions out there, from your run-of-the-mill WD external to the increasingly popular multi-drive, RAID setups like NewerTech’s and Drobo. How does this so-called “green” system stack up, and what exactly makes it green? More inside.

NewerTech states its Guardian Maximus uses half the power of a normal 1TB drive. That’s great, but I do feel that there’s more to being green tech than simply lowering power stipulations. What about recyclable components or future-proofing so you don’t have to throw it away? Anyway, they’ve got a few setups and they’ve got advantages and drawbacks. They’re compact and look solid, and have a ton of ports. Two Firewire 800, one firewire 400, and one USB 2.0, so you’ve got your pick. That puts it one up on the Drobo and many other, cheaper solutions, but when you look at capacity, things tip the other way.

The best deal to my eye is the 750GB (1.5TB in RAID-1) for $440. You’re paying a premium for the green-ness, I suppose, and the multi-drive setup, but when you’ve got 500GB externals in the wild for $100 it looks a little costly. A Drobo with somewhat more space is going now for $750, and while it’s limited to a USB connection, it’s a much more robust and expandable option.

The Guardian Maximus is the superior choice if you really need that Firewire 800 interface, and I know some people do. But if you’re not sure, you probably don’t need it, and Drobo or something like an HP MediaSmart might be more up your alley.

Not much to see here folks, save for a new paint job and a few minor software changes. Still, for those of you on Verizon, this could be just what the doctor ordered. Unless the doctor has a fake degree from a made-up country — then his orders might not be so good. Regardless, you should feel free to feast your eyes on this cobalt blue number from the folks at Palm in the gallery below!
